At City Facilities, all of our staff undergo a two day induction course.The first day of the training is a theory based course and covers basic cleaning skills in such areas as color coding, Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), risk assessment, cleaning of furniture, fittings, floors, washrooms etc.

The second day of induction takes place on site. This involves practical training and observation and covers proper use of equipments, chemicals and the trainee carrying out tasks and being observed and instructed by a training supervisor.All our operatives within six months of employment, must complete a City & Guilds-2/NVQ -2 equivalent in cleaning.Topics covered include;-Health and Safety-Communication-Working in teams and developing yourself-Dealing with routine and non routine waste-Cleaning internal surfaces and areas-Cleaning washrooms-Cleaning food preparation and high risk areasOn completion operative are issued with certificates which can also be made available for inspection by our clients if required.We believe our workforce is the most important asset in our operations and we are committed to training, developing and improving it.


Internationally approved range of cleaning chemicals

City facilities utilizes a range of chemicals that are internationally approved, from renowned manufacturers such as Johnson Diversey and RJN powdered solution.

These chemicals have the right compositions to minimise and control the spread of germs and bacteria whilst maintaining a sparkle and freshness to the environment.

Every job that city will contract to carry out will have a contract specification which must be agreed between us and our client. The specification spells out what is covered and what standards need to be achieved. Please see Cleaning Specification

Regular work audits will be conducted by representatives from both parties with the aid of the RAG cleaning audits sheet. 

The audit process involves a comparison of  actual standards achieved against agreed specified standards. A variance between actual standards and agreed specifications will form the basis of an action plan to bridge any lapse.

This gives us clear view  of our service standards and where we can improve upon to delight to our clients

It also gives our clients an opportunity to assess our performance and be sure of getting a good value for their money.

Excellent Customer Care and Support

At City Facilities Management, we aim to get things right the first time. However we are open-minded about things not always going our way and have taken remedial steps just in case we are at fault.

A service pack will be made available to clients and this contains a customer complaint form, a dedicated service support line and email address.

An account manager is also assigned to each client to ensure a closer inter-personal communication so as to understand and serve our clients better.
Our pledge is a 48 hours response time.


Health, Safety and Protection Cover

We are very aware of the risks and hazards associated with delivering our services. For a complete peace of mind for our employees and clients, City facilities Management Limited is covered by insurance policies such as Public Liability Insurance and Employer’s Liability in the event of   accidents resulting in injury of our employees or a third party, or damage to clients’ property.
