Ghana is fast becoming a centre stage of political and economic development in sub-Saharan Africa and a "development in dirt" will result in wasted efforts in encouraging tourism and investment.                    

In the last decade, Ghana has had large investments in real estate from both the public and private sectors in congruence with socio-economic development. This is no doubt a positive sign and a good foundation in accelerating Ghana to achieve its full potential in development. To safeguard these investments in infrastructure, we need to cultivate an attitude of "flying the plane and fixing the engine". Planned maintenance is a safer, healthier and less expensive option compared to ad hoc repairs and expensive renovation.
