GENERAL STATEMENT OF POLICY

Our vision is that City Facilities Management will achieve high standards in HSEQ in the Ghanaian facilities management industry with zero injury to people and minimal damage to the environment. To achieve this we will work together and take responsibility for the Health, Safety, Security of ourselves and others, to minimize our impact on the Environment and ensure best Quality in products and services for our clients.

Our policy is:- 
 
  • to provide adequate control of the risks arising from our work activities
  • to consult with our employees on matters affecting their health and safety
  • to provide and maintain safe plant and equipment
  • to ensure safe handling and use of substances
  • to provide information, instruction and supervision for employees
  • to ensure all employees are competent to do their tasks and are adequately trained
  • to prevent accidents and cases of work-related ill health
  • to maintain safe and healthy working conditions
  • to lead by example and promote trust
  • to intervene and welcome intervention from others
  • to stop any unsafe activity or where control is being lost
  • to accept responsibility for our actions
  • to achieving continual improvement
  • to strive at all times to prevent pollution and reduce waste and commit to recovery and recycling where feasible.
  • to encourages all people to integrate quality management into the way they work and promote its application as a method for continual improvement within their area of responsibility.
  • to actively seek performance feedback from customers and address opportunities for improvements that is identified.
  • to comply with all applicable legal and other requirement


To achieve these policy objectives, City Facilities Management have identified and focused on key companywide areas for monitoring HSEQ performance and achieving continual improvement.

Our HSEQ Golden Rules are:-

  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment at all times
  • Use appropriate tools for the task at hand
  • Respect all regulatory signs and requirement at the work place and for every task
  • Do not start work on a new site without a Method Statement, accompanied by company Work Permit/Job Card.
  • Disconnect, isolate and secure all sources of electricity, pressure and temperature at the beginning of work on a site.
  • Ensure personal safety while working at heights
  • Do not drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol
  • Do not use mobile phone while driving or operating machinery
  • Ensure all drivers and passengers wear safety belt on all journeys
  • Avoid driving at night
  • Step up and step in when you spot a potential HSEQ hazard
These Rules seek to;

  • Avoid fatal and major incidents
  • Reduce personal injury frequencies
  • Improve risk management and reduce total risk exposure
  • Increase HSEQ awareness and reduce unsafe behavior
  • Increase focus on technical barriers and integrity

Management Commitment

We will identify, assess, mitigate and manage risks to employees, contractors and the environment. This commitment is recognized to be in the best interest of all City Facilities Management stakeholders and is essential for the long term success of our business.
We believe therefore that Health, Safety, Security, Quality and protection of the Environment are responsibilities of every member of our team and is fully endorsed and supported by senior management.
